The first thing that strikes you about Rwanda is the greenery. From the air, you will see a tapestry of emerald hills unfolding beneath you, each one meticulously terraced and dotted with tiny, colourful houses.
Rwanda has a way of making you feel welcome. The country offers plenty of unforgettable adventures. You can explore bustling Kigali, trek in the mountains, and dine on delicious local cuisine. The most enduring memory of this trip is my interactions with the locals. The genuine warmth and courtesy of the Rwandan people were awesome. This gave me a deeper appreciation of Rwanda as more than just a destination—it’s an experience.
Kigali is arguably one of the cleanest cities in Africa. You’ll notice the absence of plastic bags—they are banned nationwide. Walking around neighbourhoods like Nyarutarama or Kimihurura is a pleasure. Sidewalks are very smooth and safe.
